Hello, I’m Courtney Curtis, a Los Angeles based filmmaker with expertise in first assistant directing and production management!

I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but later moved to Orlando, Florida to pursue my higher education at the University of Central Florida. While in Orlando, I started my professional career within the film industry and graduated from the University of Central Florida, with a bachelor’s degree in film and a creative writing minor.

It was also in Orlando where I discovered my passion for first assistant directing and production management. These roles combine my workplace strengths; consistent and open communication, utmost organization, time management skills, and a detailed oriented mindset. While also combining my personal strengths; valuing kindness and time, maintaining composure during times of high stress, determination, and passion for the creative vision.

But strengths aside, I truly find assistant directing and production management positions, not only enjoyable and fun, but also fulfilling.

Due to this passion, and a childhood turned adult dream to “make movies” in Hollywood, I moved to Los Angeles, California in June of 2023. Los Angeles is still where I call home, and work on a variety of feature/short films, music videos, and television series, for notable platforms such as; Netflix, Hulu, MTV, etc.
